We are honoured to host Captain Himanshu Kadri, a former officer of the Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Department of the Indian Army, who secured All India Rank 2 in the JAG Entry (23)—one of the most competitive legal entries into the Armed Forces. Captain Kadri is a law graduate from CHRIST University, Bengaluru, and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Defence Management and Strategic Studies from the University of Madras. During his tenure in the Indian Army, he served in key leadership roles as a Lieutenant and later as a Captain, handling critical military legal functions including disciplinary proceedings, court martial–related matters, investigations, statutory compliance, and advising commanding officers on complex legal and operational issues. It is a pleasure to welcome Mr. Ravi Reddy Inkollu, a seasoned insurance law professional with over 12 years of experience in the general insurance sector. His expertise spans litigation, claims management, regulatory compliance, fraud investigation, and leadership roles across some of India’s leading insurance companies. Mr. Reddy is currently serving as Deputy General Manager Legal (Litigation and Claims) at Acko General Insurance, where he leads the entire litigation portfolio for South India. His work includes handling MACT claims, consumer disputes, fraud investigations, and multi jurisdictional legal strategy. Over the years, he has held key legal positions at Acko, Tata AIG, SBI General Insurance, Bajaj Allianz, Royal Sundaram, and Cholamandalam MS, giving him a rare end to end perspective on the internal functioning of insurance companies. He began his career as a practicing advocate in civil and criminal courts, which laid a strong foundation in courtroom advocacy, skills he later applied to building business aligned legal strategies within insurance organizations. Alongside his professional practice, he has consistently upgraded his expertise through certifications in risk management, motor vehicle law, insurance investigation, GDPR, data privacy, leadership, and compliance. Mr. Reddy’s journey from litigation to senior in house leadership makes him an ideal mentor for young lawyers seeking clarity on entering, surviving, and growing within the insurance sector.

It is my pleasure to introduce Assistant Public Prosecutor Nikhar Baranwal, an accomplished legal professional currently serving with the Government of Jharkhand. Ms. Nikhar completed her B.A. LL.B. from Law College Dehradun and went on to pursue her LL.M. in Criminal Law from Punjabi University, Patiala, where she graduated with first-class distinction and earned the distinction of University Topper and Gold Medalist. She qualified the UGC-NET with an impressive 97.76 percentile. Her professional journey reflects a rich mix of litigation, academics, and public service. She has also served as a faculty member at ICFAI University. In her current role as an Assistant Public Prosecutor at the District Courts, Ranchi, she represents the State in magisterial courts, handling prosecution work and contributing to the administration of justice at the grassroots level.

It is my pleasure to introduce Dr. Dhawal Shankar Srivastava, an accomplished legal academic and researcher with a strong interdisciplinary background. Dr. Srivastava completed his B.A. and LL.B. (Hons.) from Banaras Hindu University, followed by an LL.M. with dual specialization in Criminal Law and Corporate Law from the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, where his research focuses on organ transplantation laws and the ethical and legal challenges surrounding organ trafficking. He has served as both a Senior Research Fellow and Junior Research Fellow at USLLS, GGSIPU, and has held faculty positions at reputed institutions, including IILM University and Christ University, where he has taught a wide range of subjects. Dr. Srivastava is a prolific researcher, having authored and co-authored numerous publications in UGC CARE and SCOPUS-indexed journals, and has presented research papers at several national and international conferences. His diverse experience in teaching, research, and legal practice makes him an inspiring figure for law students aspiring to pursue academic, research, and policy-oriented careers.

Today we have with us Prof UpmaShree. Ma’am is an accomplished academician in the field of law with nearly a decade of teaching and research experience. She completed her B.A. LL.B. from GGSIP University in 2013, followed by an LL.M. from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS) in 2014. She cleared the UGC-NET in 2016 and is presently pursuing her Ph.D. at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Her teaching career spans several reputed institutions, including Raffles University, JIMS Greater Noida, Amity Law School Noida,Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS) Delhi, and Delhi Metropolitan Education.
